The PCSC (Presidential Campaign Support Committee) of the Green National Committee has a requirement that a "recognized" presidential candidate must raise at least $5,000 "in this campaign."

I’ve not made it a secret that I’m a “working dog”. I do my forty hours a week, and squeeze my campaign in around the edges. My vacation is long gone. And I’d better not have the flu longer than eight hours, or I’m going to be clipping the less fortunate kind of coupons.

I want to make it clear that this apparent competition is not about “Green Deal or no Deal.” Federal leadership is needed to direct our society away from exploitation, reckless speculation and resource depletion, toward the generational ethics of sustainable, less wasteful, low-consumption living. A federal jobs program with a Green focus has been incubating for a long time.

Sustainability is Security. Humanity must do everything possible to stabilize the climate. Climate change is a public health and safety issue of epic proportions. It has been called the World War III of our time. Cutting way back on carbon emissions is a key step, requiring a change in our lifestyle as U.S. citizens. Scientifically, there is no debate that this is a real issue, that human behavior affects the climate, and that public policy and private action must be geared toward recognizing and correcting the problem.
